It's Friday, and you know what that means: time to find out what you can do for free!
Ladies, this first one is for you. It's ladies day out at Cabela’s on Saturday. You'll learn everything from Dutch oven cooking to how to safely use handguns, to fishing techniques. There is even a fashion show! The best part, it's free and lunch is included for the first 100 ladies at the fashion show. You don't have to register, just show up and have fun.
There's more for the ladies. Purple Rain Pole Fitness is celebrating its grand opening with one week of free unlimited classes. They have several workouts, from belly dancing to pole dancing. You'll need to take your flier in by October 12th to get the free classes. Print the flier.
If you're looking for something a little more family-friendly, head over to the El Pedregal in Scottsdale on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will have live music and wine from the Arizona Wine Company, and they have this event every Sunday.
This week, the dance band Affinity is performing. You can't bring pets or outside food and drinks to the event.

Did You Hear?

A man who was trying to protect his wife from a home run ball got a face full of beer for his effort.
Jim Heston, an American guesthouse operator in Cambodia, has lived a life in denim and has the photos to prove it. There were the dungarees he wore as a little boy, the dark bell-bottoms he had on for a hike up Japan's Mount Fuji, and the Levis straight-leg 501 jeans he's stayed with for the past 36 years.
