MESA, AZ - A back-to-school event Wednesday in Mesa is offering all sorts of free stuff.
The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Fiesta Mall are having a free event on Wednesday, Aug. 8 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Fiesta Mall.
MFMD will offer free immunizations to kids through 18 years old near Macy’s on the lower level.
There will also be a booster seat giveaway, with 200 free booster seats to be exact.
It's on a first-come first-served basis to kids who meet the new height/weight requirements and the child must be present.
The Arizona law changed on Aug. 2 requiring kids under age 8 or shorter than 4-feet-9-inches tall to sit in a booster seat.
Other organizations will be at the event including the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health along with Magic Smiles. They will offer free dental screenings, fluoride varnishing, referrals and dental/oral health education.
Swim Kids USA is providing water safety information and the Arizona Diamondbacks will have a t-ball inflatable and toss game along with Baxter the Bobcat.
Ruthy and Matthew the clowns and Christopher the Magician will be at Center Court.
Fiesta Mall will also be raffling off backpacks filled with school supplies!
