A cloth that will absorb any mess?
The makers of the Euro Clean Magic Clot h claim their product works like a sponge and acts like a vacuum.
But will it work? Let me try it before you buy it.
We saw someone demonstrating this product at a local Sears store and thought we had to try it!
The infomercial makes the cloth look like magic. It shows it absorbing up to 20 ounces of water.
So we poured a little less than that on the counter, two cups or 16 ounces.
The instructions say to use the Magic Cloth damp.
So I wet it, and then attempted to wipe up the spill just as the woman did in the infomercial.
But my test didn’t look anything like hers. In fact, the counter was still soaked.
If the Euro Clean Magic Cloth is supposed to absorb 20 ounces of water, I shouldn’t have to ring it out for just two cups. But I did, and still it did not dry the counter.
So I tried using a dry cloth … still no success.
Another claim is that the Euro Clean Magic Cloth will absorb wet stains immediately.
During the infomercial, the tester poured about 1/4 of soda on a piece of carpet and simply dabbed at the stain with the Magic Cloth.
Of course I had to try that.
But again, my results were the complete opposite of the infomercial.
The cloth absorbed a little of the soda, but definitely not enough to remove the stain.
You can get a pack of two Euro Clean Magic Cloths, plus a bonus mop for about $35 online , and that includes shipping.
But from the results of my test, the Euro Clean Magic Cloth is definitely not worth $35 since it just didn’t live up to its claims. I give the Euro Clean Magic Cloth a thumbs down.
