Every week Valley grocery stores come out with weekly sales. We can always find deals that way, but there are other ways to save to save money.
Use those coupons and weekly ads to save even more. It's called stacking deals.
Many of us have heard of it, but we're not quite sure how to be efficient at it.
Here is an example; Wednesday Fry’s will have Freschetta pizza on sale for $4.99 with your Fry’s card. In this past Sunday’s newspaper I found a coupon for $1.50 off any two Freschetta pizzas. So the stacking deal part is you are buying it on sale and using a coupon. Each of those two Freschetta pizzas will now cost you $4.25 for each pizza.
Albertsons will have Kellogg’s cereals on sale. If you buy eight participating items you will get $.50 off each item. One of those items is Kellogg’s Raisin Bran. For $2.49 you take $.50 off for buying eight qualifying items at Albertsons. Next I found a coupon in this past Sunday’s newspaper for $1.00 off when you buy two specific Kellogg’s branded cereals. Raisin Bran happens to be one of them. So, you buy two boxes of Raisin Bran at $1.99 each at Albertsons after their savings… toss in the coupon, and you just paid $1.50 for each box.
So start saving coupons you find for items you know you will buy and check them against grocery store ads each week.
Another way to save is Wal-Mart will price match any competitor on groceries.
Wal-Mart employees usually have each store’s ads at their register, but make sure to bring the competitor's price to make sure Wal-Mart gives you the right price.
If you like shopping on Wednesday’s, then stop at Sprouts because on those days you get double the savings. Their previous week and current week will overlap on Wednesday.
Don’t forget to search for additional coupons by going to your grocery store's website. I know Safeway has a great program called Just for You. These are digital coupons you can download on your Safeway card and get the savings when you check out.
Here are some other sites to find additional coupons:
Now there’s no reason to pay full price when shopping for your groceries.
