I love liquidation stores, and with the savings you'll score there, you may start to love them too.
Recently I made a visit to Shoppers Outlet in Gilbert. They’re a liquidation store that sells damaged boxes, overstock, buy outs and clearance items. So most of the items sold are new, but may not be in their original packaging, or no packaging at all, but this means great deals for you!
Shoppers Outlet is only open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Of course, since they are a liquidator, their inventory changes all the time. Often you can find baby items, such as strollers, car seats, swings, bouncers and cribs. Bikes are also something they seem to have in stock on a regular basis.
They price items based on online pricing and then you discount the products from there. On Thursdays you take 40 percent off the price marked, on Fridays 45 percent, and Saturdays 50 percent off. Now this is the minimum discount, so some days you may get an even better deal
For example, on a recent Thursday everything in the store was 40 percent off, but the furniture was marked down by 60 percent. They had tons of pet supplies, purses, new bedding, patio furniture, workout equipment, even paper towels and laundry detergent.
An example of some of the deals was a Weber Charcoal grill deep blue brand new and in the box. The price tag read $120, so if it is Thursday, you take 40% off and it would be $72. Friday it would cost you $66 and Saturday with 50 percent off would get you that grill for $60. On Amazon I found the exact same grill for $159. At $72 or less, that an awesome price, plus the grill from Shoppers Outlet was in its original packaging nothing missing.
Another deal was a queen sized blow up mattress and it came with a pump. Retail was $50, but you could get anywhere from $25 to $30 depending on which day you go to Shoppers Outlet.
They do offer a seven-day money back return policy, after that you are on your own. Also keep in mind the biggest discount is given on Saturdays, but what you want may be gone by then.
So, for the hot items, I wouldn’t risk the wait to save the extra 5 to 10 percent off.
Open only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
