Running late? Still need to make dinner? Try an already-cooked rotisserie chicken to help you save time. You can save on that rotisserie chicken if you head over to WinCo Foods.
Every day, Winco sells those chickens for $4.98. Most Valley grocery stores sell their deli chickens for $1 more, unless they are on sale.
Even Walmart has sells their rotisserie chickens for $5.99. Although, I did get Walmart to price match me on the rotisserie chicken, I still ended up paying $4.98. I was surprised because they often ask to see proof of a competitors' price and the cashier did not. If the Walmart employee had asked for one, though, I was prepared. I took a photo of the price tag at WinCo, so I had it on my smartphone to show.
Also, if you have a Costco membership you can buy a rotisserie chicken for $4.99 every day.
The whole point I am trying to make is this: if you are in a pinch and running late, but you don’t want to pick fast food or go out to eat, you can still provide a healthy meal without breaking the bank.
Plus, you can save a lot of time. I fall upon these chickens at least once or twice a month. I can often get two meals out of them. For the first meal, I often cook brown rice in chicken sauce for flavor and throw in some frozen vegetables to serve with the chicken. Then I will take all the chicken off the bones and make Pad Thai noodles or chicken tacos for the following meal.
On a side note, I just finished looking at Valley grocery store ads.
From May 22 until May 28, you can buy a rotisserie chicken for $4.99 at Bashas’. The regular everyday price is $6.99.
