PHOENIX - Save money on your grocery bill this week. Be sure to check the Valley grocery stores' weekly ads for big savings on chicken, ground beef, produce and more.

Head over to Bashas’ and save on cherries. They have them on sale for $1.27 per pound. That is a big savings because it is not often you can find them for under $2 a pound. Score a deal on Blue Bunny ice cream at $1.88 when you bring in the coupon in this week’s ad and spend a minimum of $10. Get the grills going, because Bashas’ has ground chuck for just $2.39 a pound. You can purchase two packs for that price. Have some yummy mouth watering watermelon for just $.15 per pound at Bashas’ this week.

Albertsons

At Albertsons this week you will score a deal on chicken. They have Sanderson Farms drumsticks, breast leg quarters, thighs and whole chickens all for $.99 a pound. You can also pick up a dozen eggs at Albertsons for just $.88 each and you can buy up to four at that price. Albertsons has some beef on sale. You can buy one pack of seasoned petite sirloin steak for $9.99 per pound and get two packs of equal or less for free. You can cash in one transaction per visit. If you are 55 years and up, or in the military -- active, reserve or retired -- you will save 10% off your entire food bill on Wednesday, July 4th.

Fry’s

Fry’s has a save-$3-now-and-save-$2-later sale going on this week. If you buy 10 participating items in one transaction you will get $.30 off each participating item. When you go to check out you will also get a $2 off coupon to use later. Fry’s also has a good price on tomatoes. Get six ears of corn for just $1 at Fry’s this week. On-the-vine tomatoes are on sale for just $.97 per pound. You can get a 6 ounce container of raspberries for $.97 each. If you are 55 years or older you will save 10% off your entire bill on the 4th of July.

Safeway

Buy a gallon of milk at Safeway this week for a $1.57 for each gallon. You can purchase two at that awesome price. Safeway will help you save on some chicken this week. They have chicken drumsticks, thighs or leg quarters for $.99 per pound. It is peach season and Safeway is going to help you save. They have peaches on sale for just $.77 per pound. Or try some on-the-vine tomatoes for $.99 a pound.

Sprouts

Sprouts will help you save on watermelon this week. You can purchase four pounds for $1. Or save on avocados, three for $1. Plus Wednesday will be your best day to save if you shop at either Sprouts or Sunflower Markets. On that day the previous week and current weekly ads overlap and that means double the savings on that day.

I would recommend stocking up on any sale items that can be stored for a length of time. Try to find a manufacturer's coupons to go with it if you can so you can get double the savings.

Also check out your grocery store websites for deals and extra coupons. Here are some websites for finding coupons.
