Grab a meal for two for just $7.99.

La Tolteca serves traditional Mexican food from tacos, fajitas, tamales, and burritos, for over 60 years in the Valley. You can grab, breakfast, lunch and dinner plus they have a bakery in the restaurant too. One item on their menu that caught my eye is their Super burrito and it is super duper big. It should be able to feed at least two hearty eaters.

The Super burrito cost $7.99 and it comes in two huge flour tortillas stuffed with your choice of beef or chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese, plus either red or green sauce. I went ahead and measured the burrito it is just a tad bit less than 9” in length. That is a big burro for just under $8 bucks plus it taste delicious. If you really want to be frugal and save some calories, you could take that burrito and break it into 3 or 4 meals that would come out to $2 per meal. Either way it is a huge burrito for a great price.

If you want to go home and make your own burrito you can buy a dozen gigantic homemade flour tortillas for $4. These flour tortillas are 14” x 14” and these are the same one’s they use to make their Super burrito.

La Tolteca is located near downtown Phoenix on the south side of Van Buren on 12th Street.
