Freebie Friday: See a movie and rollerskate for FREE

I love Fridays, not only because the weekend is around the corner, but it also means it is time to find out what you can do and get for free.

This is a wonderful free event being sponsored by the Purple Society Foundation . Their mission is to change the prognosis of pediatric cancer by helping families and the kids who are fighting cancer. They provide many resources and services to help.

One example is the Purple iPic Premieres event happening on Thursday, June 28th at 6 p.m. IPic Theater at the Scottsdale Quarter and The Purple Society have partnered to put on this event. On this night kids who are 18 years and younger in active treatment for cancer and up to three immediate family members can attend this event for free. The kids will be treated like stars and get to see the movie Brave. Plus the kids will get a blanket to take home and a SWAG bag filled with goodies from merchants at Scottsdale Quarter. All you have to do is register online at werpurple.org . Again it is all for free. What a great event to help these kids feel special. I love it!

How about some free roller skating? USA’S Skateland in Chandler is offering free roller skating throughout the summer to help tackle childhood obesity. Every Tuesday, starting on July 3rd from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. until the end of the summer everyone can get free admission to skate. Of course you can bring your own roller skates or rent them from USA Skateland .
