Don’t put big holes in your wall trying to decorate.
The InstaHang is supposed to let you hang any picture, or object up to 10 pounds in seconds.
We try it out to see if it lives up to its claim.
Let me try it before you buy it.
You can buy the InstaHang on the company's website for $14.99.
Once they add the bonuses and shipping fees... It'll cost you about $30.
If you don't want all the extras, I found an even cheaper deal, $15 at Wal-Mart, Bed Bath and Beyond and Best Buy.
Now to our test; the claim is you simply load the peg strip, place the InstaHang against the wall, use the bubble level to make sure it's straight, push down and you're ready to hang.
The instructions seemed simple.
The first peg strip went in easy but we had a hard time getting in the second strip.
Finally we are ready to try it again and just as we saw in the infomercial... It was really quick and actually kind of fun.
The best part is the pegs only leave a small pinhole.
We did have one problem; when there's a stud the InstaHang just couldn't do the job.
Now to the real test... Will the grip actually hold up to 10 pounds?
We hung several items including frames, white boards, and bags weighing about 10 pounds.
We left them on the wall for more than a day and when we came back everything was still there.
The InstaHang totally worked.
The downside is the tool did leave a small smear on the wall from pressing the tool and you can't re-use the pegs.
A refill kit will cost you about $7.
It won’t replace a hammer, but it does work for simple projects.
It's quick and you don't have to damage your walls with big holes.
So I give the InstaHang a thumbs up.
