Best items you will save on in August

The heat is on and so are the deals this month.

August is the perfect time to get bargains on linens and storage containers.

We found all sorts of deals on things college kids might need, like a 16 piece dorm kit from Big Lots that includes a bed in a bag, lamp, wash cloths and more for just 40 bucks.

Speaking of school, you'll find good prices on back to school supplies this month.

We found 70 page notebooks for just 17 cents at Target and Walmart and pens and pencils for nearly half off retail.

So stock up for school or the office.

Big screen TV’s have all of a sudden gone on sale.

Editors at dealnews.com say the prices are as low as they were on Black Friday.

We found 46 inch LCD HGTV's for as low as 400 bucks.

And currently it's off-peak time for hotels in the Valley so prices have been down all summer.

But typically you'll see even more coupons and sales this month.

Don't assume that because you see a sale that it's actually a really good deal.

Do your research. Make sure you know the regular price and that way you know exactly how much you are saving.
