Toys R Us releases Black Friday ad

The biggest Black Friday ad of all is now out: from Toys R Us.

The giant toy retailer is opening at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving, one hour earlier than last year.  As a result, it will open its doors before Walmart, Best Buy, or Target.  And it is now previewing the highlights of the ad.

The Top Deals

Hot 9 p.m. deals include a Sylvania 7-inch Tablet PC for just $79.

Other big doorbuster deals will include 40 percent off the Optimus Prime Transformer, and 50 percent off Leap Pad Leapster systems.

With any of these doorbuster deals, of course, you will need to line up before the store opens, as quantities are limited.

One of the best Toys R Us Black Friday deals will be on the iPod Touch, which is topping the wish list of many 'tweens this year.  Since it cannot discount current Apple products, it is offering a $50 Gift Card with an iPod Touch purchase.

May Have to Shop Twice

But just like with many other stores that are opening early, not all the deals start Thursday night. Many other items go on sale Friday at 5 a.m. This means if you want a 9 p.m. doorbuster item, and a 5 a.m. doorbuster item, you will have to visit the store twice.

For instance, most Disney Princess items, and many Lego sets, go on sale Friday at 5 a.m.

Some shoppers are complaining about these new "staggered" sales, such as the one at Walmart, where clothing goes on sale at 10 p.m. Thursday, Electronics are marked down at midnight, and small appliances go on sale at 5 a.m. 

You will either have to make multiple stops, or have some family members shop the Thursday night sale, and others shop Friday morning.
