PHOENIX, AZ - A popular consumer website telling you what’s hot and what’s not in Arizona is now going mobile.

The Arizona Office of Tourism (AOT) has just launched its mobile version of www.arizonaguide.com where consumers can access Arizona visitor information using their DROID and iPhone cell phones.

"This mobile site is yet another innovative way that enables AOT to communicate with travelers looking for information on what to see and do in Arizona," AOT Director, Sherry Henry said. "With travel information delivered straight to your phone, visitors can find everything they need to experience our great state."

Site administrators say users of the mobile Website can be guided to Arizona travel destinations with GPS tracking and turn-by-turn directions; discover event listings that are updated daily; explore attractions, golf courses, restaurants, resorts, and spas throughout the state; and search destination cities for special offers and package deals.

Additionally, the site won’t cost the state a dime because it is supported entirely by advertising dollars, Henry added.

"Much like the national and international award-winning Official State Visitor's Guide that we produce for the Arizona Office of Tourism, we wanted our home state to have a 'best in class' mobile website." said John Hudak, Chief Marketing Officer for Madden Media.

Hudak said some of the more notable features include: visually striking graphics or applications, integrated GPS mapping and searches based on the user’s location and distance to items they are looking for.

DROID and iPhone users interested in the on the go website just need to download the application on their Smartphone devices.
