Flowers are big business on Valentine’s Day and the staff at Angie’s List wants to make sure you have a good delivery experience.

Some common complaints about florists are poor quality and delivery mishaps. To get the most from your Valentine's Day flowers:

  • Get your flowers from a local shop. You’ll be able to speak with someone face to face if you have a problem.
  • Don’t order at the last minute. If you want to have your flowers delivered on Valentine’s Day, give the florist at least three days to complete the order.
  • Make sure the delivery information is correct. You should also provide your phone number in case the florist has any questions about the delivery.
  • Once the flowers are delivered, keep them fresh with clean water. Also, cut the stems back an inch so the flowers will last longer. That way your sweetheart can enjoy them long past Valentine’s Day.
