PHOENIX - Gasoline prices are dropping just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
The national average has fallen by 27 cents per gallon since early April to $3.67 on Friday. But drivers will see a wide range of pump prices depending on where they go.
Here's a sampling of some of the most -- and least -- expensive states in the lower 48 to buy a gallon of regular gasoline.
10 most expensive:
New York: $3.92
10 least expensive:
South Carolina: $3.30
Top travel destinations:
Los Angeles: $4.32
Honolulu, Hawaii: $4.39
Las Vegas: $3.88
New York City: $4.01
San Francisco: $4.38
