PHOENIX - A recent TripAdvisor survey on Phoenix residents’ traveling habits over Memorial Day showed 30 percent would be traveling this weekend, with the majority driving.
According to the survey, 56 percent of those traveling for the holiday will be driving to their destination, and the majority of them will be hitting the road Friday.
Furthermore, 93 percent of travelers said their trips wouldn’t be affected by gas prices.
TripAdvisor also tracked the top searches for Arizona travel locations on their website. The top five most sought after destinations are Sedona, Tucson, Flagstaff, Las Vegas and Williams.
The website found that 86 percent of people are planning a summer trip this year, up by 7 percent from last year.
