Look no further than Facebook or Twitter to find your next great travel deal.
According to The Roaming Boomers , social media is the wave of the future. In fact, several companies are planning on beefing up their specials. Expect fun giveaways from Delta Airlines this year, and Fairmont Hotels plan to promote Twitter-only rates and packages.
David Porter, one half of The Roaming Boomers, says to find these deals you must first sign up on Facebook and Twitter, then 'like' or 'follow' airlines, hotels, restaurants, basically any company where you would like to find a deal.
When you do that, the deals will stream directly to your personal Facebook or Twitter page.
Porter suggests you go back and look at those updates frequently to make sure you haven't missed anything.
Another way to find deals is to search for keywords. On Twitter, using a hashtag (#) in front of a word will bring up everything in that category. For example if you search #travel deals, #carribean, #deals, #travel, and #coupon you can come up with some great savings.
The Roaming Boomers are also offering deals through Valley restaurants and destinations only on their Facebook page .
