Tips to keep your feet looking good this summer

Summer is here and that means more time in flip flops and sandals. 

All that time in the heat can cause some serious wear and tear on our feet, so it's important to take care of them, and that goes beyond the salon for a pedicure. It also means at home maintenance.

Heel Therapy
Between pedicure appointments, soothe dry cracked heels and keep your feet summer ready with whipped shea butter. Shea butter is a tiny molecule that is specially formulated to penetrate deeper than regular lotions and creams so you get maximum hydration. It hydrates and moisturizes the feet, maintaining that fresh pedicure look and feel.

Extra tip- Leave some shea butter on your night stand so at night you can quickly apply to your feet, slip on some socks and let it soak in all night while you sleep.

Sugar/Salt Scrub
Scrubs are very moisturizing and great for dehydrated skin. The real secret is that scrubs are great for keeping those unruly cuticles under control between manis and pedis.

Salt/sugar scrubs will actually exfoliate and remove those little cuticles or hangnails between manicures as well as hydrate the cuticles so they don't come back.

Use Glitter to Fix Chips
Have a go-to glitter polish on-hand to camouflage polish chips. A thin layer of glitter polish will cover up chips and add a little sparkle to hold you over until your next salon appointment.

Any color glitter can brighten a chipped manicure, so terés suggests mixing it up a little and play with a variety of color combinations. A chipped pink manicure will shine like new with a little gold glitter over top.
