Stephanie Antoinette, founder of J'aime la vie by Victoria Antoinette, says there are so many fabulous and inexpensive ways to decorate for your party - all you have to do is look around the house and you will often find you have some items on hand that can be changed to help you create a unique look.
For instance, Antoinette says using some darling floral plates, inexpensive candlestick holders and a hot glue gun, you can create a one of a kind cupcake tower!
She also says plain glass vases and candleholders can be given a metallic/mirrored look with a $6 bottle of spray paint. Just clean them well and spray a few coats till you achieve a desired look.
How about grabbing some tissue paper and floral wire to make fun poms that you can hang from the ceiling, light fixtures or pop in a vase for a fun floral arrangement?
Another idea, take boring plastic storage bins and cover them with a patterned contact paper by cutting them to fit all 4 sides. Party gifts are often challenging to come up with for some. You want something that interests guests and doesn't get left behind.
And she says anything in a mason jar works really well and guests love it! Antoinette showed how to pack ingredients for cookies by layering them in a decorative way, and topping it off with some adorable fabric to cover the metal lid and tie it with a string! Just add the recipe on a small card and tag it on the jar!
