Age-in-Place at Mountain Park Senior Living
When someone is looking for a senior living community, often times the phrase “age-in-place” is used. What does it mean to “age-in-place”? Aging in place means moving into a community where one can receive all the care they would need until the end of life. The individual would not have to move again to receive a higher level of care. The range of services offered is called a continuum of care.
Mountain Park Senior Living offers a continuum of care, and gives residents the opportunity to “age-in-place.” Mountain Park offers independent living, assisted living, transitional memory care and memory care.
Transitional memory care is for individuals that live with Mild Cognitive Impairment or MCI. This is a condition that affects memory but does not affect the ability to complete daily tasks. These individuals typically have some difficulty thinking, carrying on conversations or participating in activities. Mountain Park Senior Living’s Residence Club program helps to engage its residents and allows its residents who are living with MCI to maintain self-confidence and dignity while living independently within a caring environment. This program is a way to help residents feel comfortable in their home, and to help them age gracefully.
One cannot control how they age. Couples are often concerned with what they will do when one individual is aging faster than the other. At Mountain Park, the multi- care level community allows the couple to live under the same roof, but within the care level that is appropriate for them. This way they can still see each other every day, but will receive the proper care they deserve.
Another benefit of living at Mountain Park Senior Living is the size of the apartments. Once you move into the community, you more than likely will not need to downsize again. Our independent living and assisted living apartments are the same size. We want to make the transition as easy as possible on the resident.
Finally, and most importantly, as one ages the want to receive the highest level of quality of care possible. At Mountain Park, we have Certified Nursing Assistants who are licensed by the state.
Aging in place is something Mountain Park takes pride in. We want our residents to enjoy their home and be as active as possible for as long as possible.
