The next time you think of purchasing a girlfriend gift, think again. Sometimes the gifts made with your own two hands are the ones that mean the most. Shela-Lyn Boxberger, creator of Clever Creations shares a fool proof idea below that will capture your gal pal's hearts.
1. Purchase a wood frame at a thrift store (Remember this frame can be painted so don't let color define which one you choose)
2. Take everything out of the frame (Remove the glass and backing; wear gloves so you don't get cut on the glass)
3. Wearing gloves, cut a piece of chicken wire slightly larger than the frame (This makes it easier to work with - the excess can be trimmed easily once it is attached to the frame)
4. Use a staple gun and attach the wire to the back of the frame (Start in one corner and staple around the frame)
5. Create decorative clothespin clips to coordinate with your gift (These can be done to match your home decor or with seasonal embellishments. Use a hot glue gun or an all purpose strong adhesive like E6000 to adhere your embellishments).
Enjoy!
