Kids bored, hungry? Keep them busy making their own lunch!

Chef Anthony Croncenzi of K.I.S.S. Back East Pizza and Beef Joint stopped by to show us how to get the kids involved in making their own pizza!

Here are some recipes from Thursday's show:

Dough -

-    5 Cups or 22.5 OZ             High Gluten Flour
-    1.5 Tbs or 1 oz                    Sugar
-    2 Tsp or ½ oz.                     Salt (sea salt preferred)
-    5 Tsp or .38 oz.                  Instant yeast
-    3 Tbs. or 1.5 oz.                 EVOO
-    1 ¾ cups or 14 oz              Warm Filtered Water

1.    Dissolve yeast in water with sugar for 1 minute
2.    In Mixer with dough hook add flour and salt - mix for 2 minutes on medium speed
a.    Slowly add EVOO and remaining flour mix for another 2 minutes
3.    Let rest 5 minutes
4.    Mix 5 more minutes - place in oiled bowl covered with plastic ½ hour
5.    Punch down dough and separate into 2 portions, roll into ball, let rise another 20 minutes

Yields 2 -  14" pizzas

Sauce -

-    64 oz.                                    Whole peeled tomato's
-    6 oz.                                       Tomato Puree
-    2 Tbls.                                   Fresh Garlic Puree
-    8 Tbls.                                   Fresh Onion Puree
-    4 Tbls.                                   EVOO
-    4 Tbls.                                   Fresh Basil
-    1 Tsp. of each:                   Salt, Pepper, granulated garlic, granulated onion, dry oregano, dry basil

Yields 2 - 14" pizzas worth

Toppings of Chef's Favorite Pizza:

-    16oz                                       Shredded whole milk mozzarella
-    2 Tbls.                                   EVOO to brush edge of crust
-    8 oz.                                       Spicy Italian Sausage
-    8 oz.                                       Shaved Italian beef
-    6 oz.                                       hot giardinera

Bake pizzas on stone 12-15 minutes at 450 degree.

Toppings will vary to pizzas made

Chocolate Chip Pizza

-      1 Cup Butter

-      ¾ cup brown sugar

-      ¾ cup sugar

-      2 eggs

-      1 teaspoon - vanilla - add to sugar and butter

-      2 ¼ cups flour - add to mix

-      1 teaspoon baking soda -add to mix

-      3 cups chocolate chips - add last

Put into 6" mixing dish and bake for _10-12_ minutes or until cookie portion is just underdone - served best with vanilla ice cream top.
