Arizona State Fair
Phoenix / Arizona Exposition & State Fair Grounds
This year the Arizona State Fair is featuring out-of-this-world opportunities including their Star Trek exhibit, duck racing, hypnotist, and circus performers. Fill all of your carnival cravings with the endless food vendors, traditional fair ride and games. In addition, two all new respite areas will debut: The Hangout for adults and Play Space, featuring fun, indoor activities for kids eight and under. (Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
Greater Phoenix Greek Festival
Phoenix / The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community Center
Visiting Greece is an affordable stay-cation at the 53rd Annual Greater Phoenix Greek Festival, with Greek food, music, dancing, jewelry, art, grocery items and activities for children. Friday 5-10p.m., Saturday 11a.m.-10p.m. and Sunday 11a.m.-8p.m. $3 admission, children 12 and under are free. $5 parking.
October 12- 13
Scottsdale / McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park
This event features model train displays, exhibits, moonwalks and other entertainment. Don't miss the award-winning 10,000-square-foot model railroad building display. Train and carousel rides are $2. Children under 3 ride free with a paying adult. 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
