The Doorbell Guard was invented by Mark Stoller. The idea came to be after his wife was involved in a serious car crash and couldn't get the rest she needed to recover while at home because of the constant doorbell ringing. The Doorbell Guard has a decorative housing around the push button, that can rotate to reveal one of 2 messages 'Do not disturb' or 'Please knock'. The Doorbell Guard is made right here in the Valley and can be purchased online at www.thedoorbellguard.com or at select Ace Hardware and Walgreen stores.
VermiSoks is the brainchild of Miguel Jardine. He wanted to work for a business model that was based on doing good, and so he created his own. The VermiSoks process works by converting food waste into what is called Worm Wine. When the Worm Wine is placed into the VermiSok mesh tube filled with ground up coconut husks and earthworms a nutrient rich composted soil forms, making growing a garden simple without the need for water, even here in the desert in the summer.
