Robert Nickell, aka, Daddy Nickell, founder and CEO of Daddyscrubs, says he has some tips to help parents get their kids back on a normal school schedule.

"I'm sure many kiddos are beyond busy with school, homework, practices and band, but make sure to balance more of a "normal" schedule this now that school has started, which means having a consistent bedtime and eating good breakfasts.

Encouraging and communicating with your children about what is ahead does wonders.

He says, "give your children the chance to express any concerns and then encourage them with helpful tips and positive reinforcement.

Separation can be very hard for children, especially for the younger ones leaving mom and dad for the first time.

Send a note along with them in their lunchbox or in their binder so they know you are with them 100%! Or, give them a token or photo to bring with them in their pocket if they need comforting throughout their day away from you. Make sure your child knows you are a very proud parent!

Encourage your children to join in to make new friends. Friends will make school more enjoyable. Maybe set up a carpool or play dates with other classmates so your child has friends before entering the classroom. Ask your children if they want to be involved in extracurriculars which are also great ways to meet new people."
