Football party planning with Girl Friday Laura Mahoney

Well ladies, it's that time of year where we loose our husbands on Monday nights due to football, so I have a few fun ideas to get through the season and make Monday nights a touchdown in your house!

You all know that I love any excuse to make an apron and this time its football chic. I found a wonderful black and white stripe fabric at Fabric Depot to make the perfect referee apron, complete with pockets, beer opener, cigar holder, peanut pouch, whistle and penalty flag.

This apron will be a great way to be apart of the evening and get you an extra point with your husband.

You can also create a football field tablecloth. This is super simple and is wonderful when you have your Super Bowl party, plus your snacks will look incredible set out on the field! Get 2 yards of green fabric and then glue gun out the yardage and hash marks with white trim.

This is also a night to leave the room and let your husband scream at the TV. Invite a girlfriend over and have your own fun.

We all know that Louboutin has the best shoes, but now you can create your own fun look. All you need is a pair of shoes, nail polish or enamel and a paint brush. Besides the classic red, think about lavender or pink. It’s a fun DIY project that will add a fun pop of color to your soles. I love looking through magazines with a girlfriend. A fun tip is to pick up a UK version of ELLE or Vogue. You might find some fun new fashion tips.
