Join Fashion Night Out at Scottsdale Quarter

Fashion Night Out celebrates its 4th birthday Wednesday with nearly two dozen countries worldwide and more than 4,000 cities and shopping venues across the country all celebrating one day of personal style!

Many Valley shopping venues will be offering entertainment, collection previews, fashion shows and shopping!

At the Scottsdale Quarter the shopping party of the year goes from from 6 to 9 p.m.

Fashionistas are invited to shop over 30 hot spots featuring special in-store events for that night only.

From deejays to trunk shows, appetizers to desserts, raffle prizes to champagne, there is plenty to partake in while shopping.

The streets will be filled with upbeat deejays and from 6 to 7 p.m., take a peek at the informal fashion show taking place in The Quad. And just for guests that evening: like Scottsdale Quarter on Facebook and upload and tag your photo on our page while you’re here; one shopper will win a $100 gift card just for doing so!

The fashion experts at Scottsdale Quarter offer these tips for incorporating 3 Essentials in your Fall Fashion:

RACY RED, BABY!

Red has never been more in demand than it is this season.

All you have to do is find the right shade based on your skin tone and you’ll be rocking one of the most alluring and flattering colors in all the rainbow.

Girls with a complexion on the paler side should go for reds with cool undertones: think cherry red, almost to the side of magenta.

Girls with olive complexions, a true red is the color for you; any red with warm undertones that skews towards the side of orange will work.

Girls with dark complexions, brick red is your new best friend. And for the color-shy: you can incorporate red in so many ways! If you’re hesitant to don a red dress, coat or slacks, buy yourself a fabulous new red lipstick, a pair of peep-toe pumps or an oversize red clutch - these items in fall’s hottest color will be your new “neutrals” and are sure to spice up any outfit.

WEAR THE WHITE!

Winter white: forget the old rule of “no white after Labor Day” - winter white is one of the hottest trends of the fall.

Incorporated into heavier fabrics, winter white is fashion-forward when incorporated into knit sweaters, wool coats, boy blazers or tuxedo jackets and booties.

You can even take some of your “summer” white and winterize it by pairing that little white dress with black opaque tights, a black turtleneck and suede black booties.

And a pair of white jeans can go wintery when paired with a pair of camel colored knee high flat boots and a fuzzy sweater.

MILITARY, A MUST!

The military trend was seen all over the fall 2012 runways in New York City!

Incorporated through brass buttons, navy blue, olive green and structured shapes, military-inspired pieces are a great way to update your wardrobe.

Think of a navy blue wool peacoat - not only can you wear it every day to work in the cooler weather, you can pair it with jeans for the weekend and it’ll take you everywhere.

High necklines adorned with fur (faux or real, depending on your preference) is a luxe take on the military trend and pieces with olive + black color blocking take last year’s trend into the now.
