Celebrate mom with unique gifts and a 'Mama Juice' cocktail

Mothers typically put the family and children first, no matter what the age of the kids. But, as mother's across the globe are celebrated creative artist, Laura Mahoney, owner of Girl Friday is reminding moms to not let their fun fall to the way side. And in Girl Friday's "book" that means throwing on a sexy apron and grabbing a glass of Mama Juice!

Laura Mahoney offers these unique ideas that you can make for yourself:

Sexy Apron
Not your mother's apron is one of Laura Mahoney's favorites. She took a simple apron design and used really fun fabrics like faux white crocodile and faux mink fur to add the fun and flirty. Just by adding touches like sheer ribbon and bright colored ties you will not only look good cooking dinner but score major points with your man! She says you might not even get to eat dinner!

Placemat Clutch
This was one of the first inspired ideas by Girl Friday. Instead of the clutch being the entire placemat, she used fun patterned placemats for the inside of the clutch. it makes a fun surprise when you open your purse and the size is perfect. You can use any fabric for this idea as long as you have a sturdy placemat for the structure of the clutch.

Mother's Day Flowers
Flowers are a must and what a great time of year for tulips. For this idea you only need a shoe box, fabric , glue gun, plastic lining , wet flower foam and tulips. Once you cover your shoe box with fabric, line it with plastic. Then, soak your floral foam in water and place it to the edges of the box. Lastly, cut the tips of your tulips and stick them in the foam.

The final effect will be a miniature tulip garden. *Note Tulips are one of the only flowers that keeps on growing after you cut them, so don't be surprised that the next morning they are 2 in. taller! You can also cover the top with small rocks so foam does not show.

Mama Juice
Girl Friday says she likes to relax with a signature drink for overworked moms who deserve a little relaxation. The mom of a 2 year old says many times she's explained her adult-only drink to her toddler as Mommy juice

Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients:
Blueberry cocktail juice
Cranberry cocktail juice
Go Girl Pomegranate , Blueberry Tea Energy drink
Absolut Berri Acai Vodka ( Blueberry )
Blueberries
Sugar
Pixie sticks or fun dip
Party Picks

Infuse your blueberries over night in Vodka and sugar then take an ice cube tray and place one blueberry in each one. Freeze with plastic wrap on top with a party pick stick in each one.
In a shaker mix Blueberry & Cranberry juice together
Add 2 shots of Go Girl Energy drink
Add Blueberry Vodka

Shake well
Have your martini glass rimmed with pixie stick sugar and then pour your cocktail.
Now take your frozen vodka infused blueberry on a stick and plop it in!

Get the kids to bed and let Mother's Night get on its way!
