Bryan's Black Mountain Barbecue

Cave Creek, Arizona is a quiet little town just north of Phoenix where the desert meets the beautiful saguaros and the old west comes to life with the smells of Bryan's Black Mountain Barbecue.

Bryan Dooley is one part fine dining chef, one part barbecue master and a full hearted old west admirer. From the days of gathering hickory wood for his grandfather's brick barbecue pit and then observing his grandfather smoke pork ribs with the touch of his grandmother's signature sauce, Bryan had the love for taking that extra time to perfect barbecue.

Some of the tender and juicy works of barbecue art come in sandwiches, plates or combos such as the tender pulled pork sandwich that is drenched in homemade barbecue sauce or the rib and meat combo with your choice of pork ribs or my favorite smoked to perfection brisket. The fire bird chicken screams with heat but cools with flavor. Some of the mouth watering sides are six pack cowboy beans that are really made with a six pack of beer and the baked potato salad that is so thick it could be a meal on its own. And if you have room Bryan squeezes together homemade ice cream sandwiches and pours a mean sarsaparilla float.

Bryan's Black Mountain Barbecue takes the old west by the horns and transforms it into a comfortable place where modern cowboys and girls can roam freely with tender barbecue and an ice cold craft brew. What else can you ask for? Maybe, a couple more napkins!
