Here are some easy tips for keeping you and the kids organized and focused after school.

Command Central-
Have a place where you keep track of the family events before and after school. That keeps everyone on the same page. If it’s not on the “board” it’s not happening.

Place for Papers-
It seems the kids come home with so much paperwork. Not only for them but for parents, too. Train your kids to empty out their backpack everyday. That way papers get signed, and they can’t lose anything.

Backpack Finder-
Provide a place for you kids to drop off their stuff after school. That way when it comes time to find what they need, there is the “go to” spot. Remind them to put all their stuff back after they finish their homework, too. That way in the morning there is no rushing around trying to find things.

Home Work Station-
Create a quiet spot for the kids to do their homework preferably away from the TV but close to you, so you can keep an eye on them. A good chair and lighting is a must.
