Sometimes creativity starts with a little thought and that's exactly how the owner of Green Table Gifts in Chandler started.

Owner Patty Leon, saw a need for supporting local after working in retail for more than a decade.  She opted to open a space for creative expression through sales, start-up business support and classes for people to learn from local artists.

She offers these 3 tips to get your creativity going and perhaps start your own business:

1.    Do what you love and love what you do!

2.    Be original.
They say copying is the sincerest form of flattery and lets all admit we have been inspired by many things we see in our daily lives. It is up to you to make it your own, and put your personal style on everything you do.

The market is flooded with items that all look alike. Let your style stand out on their own by letting your personal flair speak for it's self.

3.    Persevere.
Do your research and find your target demographic. Maybe your product targets a specific customer. Give out samples to prospective clients or stores, let the word of mouth spread for you.
