The big 16-inch ball is back in Tempe

On Saturday, April 21st, 32 teams, 16 co-ed & 16 mens teams made up of Valley businesses will compete in the 9th Annual Avnet 16-Inch Softball Classic.

The event begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday and the teams will compete in this single elimination with one consolidation Chicago-style softball game in support of Swing Fore Kids and the Spark of Hope/JDRF Foundation.

This business-to-business softball game hopes to get Valley families out for the biggest big ball softball tournament around.

The 16-Inch Softball Classic will also feature live music, Chicago style hot dogs and activities for the kids.

Come out and enjoy a day of fun in the sun, while you root for your favorite team, enjoy live music, Vienna hot dogs, beef sandwiches and beer donated by Crescent Crown and served by ladies of Tilted Kilt. 

In addition there will be clowns painting faces and balloons for all the kids.  Door prizes and raffles, and winners of the co-ed & mens division win D-Back's Suites!  Second place winners get Don & Charlie's gift certificates.
