A Valley family is making their living as circus performers.
The Taylor family resides right here in Arizona. The entire family is part of the circus.
The Taylor Circus Stars blend traditional old-style Circus fun with dazzling modern twists
Teenager Elia Taylor is an exquisite ballerina, contortionist and she can cross the tightwire on ballet toe-shoes.
She learned to walk on stilts before she could run.
Barbara Taylor was a professional clown with Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey and rode the Circus train for three years.
Barbara is the great, great granddaughter of Jenny Lind. Lind was known as the "Swedish Nightingale" - the equivalent of a top modern-day Pop Diva who toured American in the early 1850s, promoted by P.T. Barnum.
When she traveled to America from Sweden, she caused a sensation similar to Beatlemania.
The costumes are handmade works of art and all designed and sewn by Barbara.
Barbara Taylor said, "We circus people touch others deep down in a way no one else can. It's the ability to free people from all their worries and pain for a moment, from reality and welcome them into a world we see, a world where everything is possible."
