Jeff Rhodes, General Manager of Macayo's Depot Cantina, and Macayo's Chef Salvador Garcia prepared the following menu items on Sonoran Living Live.

Carnitas Dinner

Slow-cooked juicy pork carnitas served with sour cream, Pico de Gallo, rice, refried beans and flour tortillas.  

Unique fact- They marinate their pork in a secret marinade recipe that includes both pineapple juice and Pepsi.   

They are currently celebrating Traditional Favorites on the menu and have a coupon for Carnitas Dinner for only $8.99 (regularly $13.49)

Chicken Poblano

A farm-fresh poblano chile filled with tender seasoned chicken, then breaded and cooked until crunchy.

Served with homemade spicy Baja & enchilada sauces and topped with Jack cheese & tomatoes. Served with rice and refried beans.
    

While celebrating Traditional Favorites on the menu they have a coupon for Chicken Poblano for only $7.99 (regularly $12.29)
    
Skinny Margarita and Hibiscus Skinny Margarita

Skinny Marg is less than 110 calories

Hibiscus Skinny Marg is less than 180 calories

They are currently celebrating the launch of their new Drink Menu at all of the Arizona restaurants and have a coupon for $2 off any margarita on the menu through August

Macayo's has been in the Valley for over 65 years (celebrated 65 years last year/2011)

Woody and Victoria Johnson began the restaurant together, which was back then called El Nido.

Macayo's remains family owned and locally operated today, run by 2nd Generation owner/Woody's Daughter, Sharisse Johnson and home office located in Phoenix.

Macayo's Founder, Woody Johnson, began a chile farm in 1972 in McNeal Arizona, that is now one of the largest chile farms in the United States.

The farms produce chiles for what is now called Fiesta Canning and we sell our product in grocery stores within nine states of the country.

To celebrate the farms, they throw an annual Chile Harvest at the end of September and through October, featuring specialty menu items with farm fresh chiles.

They have over 12 new drinks featured on the new drink menu.

They are focused on fresh flavors and quality tequilas.

They have added two "skinny" marg options.

They have added martinis to the menu, including the Jalapeno Martini which is a spicy twist to the typical offerings.
