Singleton Moms helps single moms who are battling cancer

Singleton Moms is a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting single parents battling cancer in the Phoenix-metro area through a variety of programs focusing on emotional, financial and household support.

Executive Director, Jody Farley-Berens, says the Giving Hands Ball is their signature event, held each November. It was created to raise funds to support the organization's mission and to celebrate the parents and volunteers of the nonprofit.

Now in its fourth year, the event includes an award ceremony for volunteers and Care Coordinators, and a chance for Singleton parents to share their stories and have a carefree evening of pampering. Moms who underwent treatment for cancer are also treated to a donated ball gown and day of beauty.

Farley-Berens says they are always looking for sponsors at all levels for the ball as well as donations for the silent auction, and of course attendees.
