Help raise money for cystic fibrosis at StairClimb & Firefighter Challenge this weekend.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disease affecting thousands of people each day.
Earlier this year, the first drug was approved to correct the basic defect in cystic fibrosis for about 4-percent of patients.
Events like the StairClimb & Firefighter Challenge in Phoenix raise the funds to develop and test drugs that will help correct the problem.
Firefighters from cities all over the area compete in a skills challenge in full gear while companies and citizens sponsor their teams.
People can also come out and climb 38 floors or more at the Arizona Center. Registration starts at 8am, climbing starts at 9am and then they can cheer on our local firefighter heroes starting at 9:30am. There will be free food, free massages and music. You are asked to donate at least $25 to climb.
The event will happen Saturday, September 29 at 8am at the Arizona Center.
