Arizona Parenting Magazine shares ideas for family fun events this weekend.

Furry 1st Annual Bear Jaw Groove
September 8th
Flagstaff/ Flagstaff Nordic Adventure Center
Escape the heat and enjoy a mountain bike race. This is a 12 hour event for all levels of riders. There is also a kids bike race and entertainment provided by the YMCA.  Ages 5 and up to ride, all ages for spectators. Adult races start at 7am and kids race at 12 noon. Registration fees vary by event.

New Frontiers in Medical Science
September 8th
Phoenix / Arizona Science Center
This program will give students and general public a glimpse into the human body, its parts, processes and new advances in biomedical research with technology. Free with General Admission. 4:30 - 5:30.

Celebrate Grandparent’s Day
September 9th
Mesa / AZ Museum for Youth
Grandparents will receive free admission and everyone can enjoy exploring the museum and the last day of Extreme Pets. Special activities between 12 noon and 3:30.  All ages. $7 per person and children under 1 are free.
