Former Phoenix Suns player Mark West is hosting the 22nd Annual South Mountain Education and Basketball Camp this summer.
The 22nd annual camp held at the Salvation Army Phoenix Kroc Center.
Children learn basketball skills and the importance of education, responsibility and handling peer pressure during the week-long camp.
About 75 kids between the ages of 10 and 12 attend the camp each year.
It's free and designated for the youth who might not have the resources to afford any other basketball camp.
The camp will begin on Monday, July 23 and run through Friday, July 27 at the Salvation Army Phoenic Kroc Center on Broadway Road.
There are still a few spots left. Parents can contact the Salvation Army Phoenix Kroc Center at (602) 425-5000 for more information on how to register.
