A high-energy evening of music benefiting Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist and Herberger Hall of Fame performer Dennis Rowland, who is recovering from a stroke and cerebral hemorrhage. The Herberger Theater Center event, which is sponsored by Remington's Restaurant and Lounge at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort, boasts an all-star roster of jazz and blues artists.
Vocalists include Francine Reed, double-Grammy nominee Monica Mancini, Khani Cole and Diana Lee.
They will be joined on stage by Grammy-award-winning jazz greats Shelly Berg (piano) and Gregg Field (concert co-producer/music director/drums), plus famed jazz artists Marion Meadows (saxophone), Chuck Berghofer (bass), Jesse McGuire (trumpet), Greg Warner (concert co-producer/music director/drums) and others.
The evening will also include a Motown tribute and a silent auction featuring B.B. King and Jackie Evancho dinner/concert packages, Cornelius Hollander fine jewelry, and a Sanctuary Resort on Camelback Mountain overnight getaway.
Net proceeds from the concert will help support his ongoing recovery and rehabilitation after suffering a near fatal stroke and cerebral hemorrhage.
