NY Times bestselling author Augusten Burroughs is talking about his new self help book here in the Valley Wednesday.
By a certain age in life, most of us have had to deal with some sort of major life event that stopped us in our tracks; whether it was a divorce or the loss of a loved one we have been forced to heal ourselves.
Burroughs knows this first hand. He's the man who wrote about his turbulent childhood in the memoir 'Running With Scissors'. The book remained on the New York Times bestseller list for four consecutive years, and now, five books later, Burroughs is tackling a self help book.
In 'This Is How', Burroughs remains true to his style of dark humor, addressing life's challenges in a way only he can, in some cases recognizing that sometimes problems are insurmountable and acknowledging that is the next best thing to overcoming them.
You can meet up with Burroughs at a book signing and discussion in the Valley.
