Roxie knows how to sit, shake, lie down and stay, but what she doesn't know is how she ended up at the shelter. Her owner was moving out of state and the journey was much too long for a dog so on their way out of town they dropped the four-year-old Chinese sharpei mix off at the Arizona Humane Society- three days before Christmas.
Her new owner will be impressed with all that Roxie has to offer. Anyone whose New Year's resolution was to get in shape will benefit from Roxie's moderate energy level and this athletic girl is a great hiking buddy who is already leash trained. Additionally she is crate and housetrained as well.
Roxie can be shy around other dogs and kids so a family meet and greet is required.
She is available NOW at the Arizona Humane Society's Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. Her adoption fee is $110. This adoption fee includes her spay surgery, vaccines, a colorful collar and leash, an AHS I.D. tag and a follow-up veterinary exam. For more information about this pet, please call (602) 997-7586 ext. 1045 and ask for animal ID number A295079 or log on to www.azhumane.org.
Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter; however, the AHS has many more wonderful pets that also need loving homes. Please take a moment to meet some of the other homeless dogs, cats and other companion animals at the shelter! To see all our adoptable animals right now, www.azhumane.org/findapet.
