One moment Calvin was a satisfied housecat with access to food and human comfort and the next he was struggling to survive on the streets, a hostile place for a dedicated housecat.
Someone noticed Calvin’s plight, bringing him to the Arizona Humane Society where he awaits another shot at the pampered life.
The handsome two-year-old black Bombay mix cat has captivating golden eyes and a thundering purr and he’s been looking for a home for more than two months. The time at the shelter is weighing on him and although visiting with volunteers seems to sooth the pain of loneliness, nothing would be better for this affectionate boy than consistent companionship that can only be found in a permanent home.
He’s a devoted lap cat who enjoys close contact, and will snuggle on a pillow at night, but he can also be kitten-like when fun and interactive toys are placed in front of him.
He is available NOW at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 W Dobbins Rd in Phoenix. Now until the end of August, as part of AHS’ Leave No Feline Behind campaign, all feline adoption fees will be waived in exchange for a monetary donation. For more information call 602-997-7585 x 1045 and ask for animal ID number A397192.
