PHOENIX - An 11-pound Miniature Pinscher mix named Dexter is looking for a new home.
His diminutive size made it nearly impossible for drivers to notice him, and Dexter was rescued by Emergency Animal Medical Technicians after he was hit by car.
Medical staff in the Second Chance Animal Hospital weren’t able to repair his badly injured eye and had to surgically remove it. Dexter may be missing an eye but isn’t missing enthusiasm.
He loves brisk walks, outdoor hiking adventures and running laps around the couch with a squeaky toy in his mouth.
He will need a patient owner who can invest time into training him but this clever 6-year-old catches on quickly.
He is available at the Campus for Compassion located at 1521 West Dobbins Road in Phoenix. His adoption fee is $35 and includes his neuter surgery and vaccines.
