The holidays are right around the corner and Sweetie has a lot to be thankful for his holiday season.
It was Halloween night when the 4-year-old Chihuahua found herself on the freighting and unfamiliar streets near Gilbert and Broadway. Emergency Animal Medical Technicians from the Arizona Humane Society were summoned to the scene after Sweetie had been hit by a car. Lying on the pavement with her eye prolapsed, it was clear that Sweetie needed immediate medical attention.
Despite the pain, this brave little girl was calm, sitting quietly on the exam table while sharing kisses with the medical staff as they prepared for her badly damaged eye to be surgically removed. The surgery was a success and Sweetie spent the next two weeks in a foster home.
Sweetie’s tail is always swishing from side to side and she is a happy, affectionate and loving little dog. She is crate trained which will help her new owner to finish housetraining her. Although she only has one eye, you can’t sneak a morsel of food or a stuffed toy past her without her noticing. She would prefer to be the only four-legged family member in her new home and a child introduction is required to ensure a good match.
Sweetie is available now at the Petique Retail and Adoption Center located at the Biltmore Fashion Park. Her adoption fee is $110 and includes her spay surgery and vaccines. for more information call 602-957-3113.
