PHOENIX - Back to school is right around the corner, and with that comes, you guessed it, school supplies.
It's no secret that school supplies can get very costly for families in need, so Chicanos Por La Causa is holding their annual Back to School Drive to benefit CPLC's education-based programs.
Their third annual Back to School Drive has been in full effect since July 11th and will end on August 12th. They are accepting donations of new and gently used backpacks and school supplies that will benefit the youth that attend the programs at CPLC, particularly at the CPLC Carl Hayden Community Center.
"CPLC currently serves approximately 360 kids (plus their siblings) at these centers," said Luis Morales, the Program Manager for CPLC Community and Family Services Department.
Donations can be dropped off at 1112 E. Buckeye Road in Phoenix, or for pick up arrangements contact Priscilla Valencia at (602) 257-0700 or events@cplc.org.
