If your wrinkles are giving away your age or making you look older than you really are, then you may be interested in the product a Florida woman says she invented.
Kimberly Aschauer said her product can take 10 years off your face in 10 minutes and does not involve plastic surgery or facial fillers.
She said she created it out of desperation while helping plan her son's wedding two years ago.
"I needed help," said Aschauer. "I wanted to look fresh for the wedding."
Aschauer thought a mini-facelift would do the trick, but couldn't afford the $5,000 price tag she was quoted.
"I went home and got my makeup mirror and I just couldn't stop thinking," Aschauer said. "I just wished there was a way that I could look like this, affordably."
So Aschauer invented one. She fastened a piece of elastic between two small combs. She attached the combs to small braids on both sides of her face and, without surgery, her face lifted.
"Right before my very eyes when I was looking in the mirror, I watched 10 years come off my face!"
She called it Facelift Bungee. She came up with a clever way to market it in a jar, usually reserved for wrinkle creams, and started testing it on women.
The Today Show recently featured the product during its broadcast with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford, and the ABC network show Shark Tank is also interested in highlighting her product, according to Aschauer.
"I'm like, 'Are you kidding me?' They said. 'We're amazed by your product and would like to have you on the show,'" said Aschauer.
Aschauer said Facelift Bungee is easy to use. A woman's hair has to be longer than the bottom of her ear to use it.
The first step is creating a small, tight braid on each side of the temple. Both braids should be no longer than your ear.
Aschauer said if a tight ponytail typically gives you a headache then this product might not be for you.
After the braiding is completed, the small bungee comb is inserted into the braid, the elastic wraps around the back of the head under the hair and the other comb is inserted into the braid on the opposite side.
Aschauer hopes all women who try her product will see results and make the Facelift Bungee part of their daily routine!
"I get up, brush my teeth and pop my bungee in. It's that simple!"
The Facelift Bungee sells for $24.99 and is available at www.faceliftbungee.com .
Aschauer said the patent is pending on her product.
Kelly Heyniger, who contacted WPTV through her attorney, said she too has a patent pending on this product. She claims she created this product, not Aschauer.
