CLEVELAND - It may have taken a dance duel, but the sixth couple was sent home on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Right off the bat, the show had TV host Maria Menounos and Derek do an encore of their perfect paso doble from Monday’s classical night. Then, the show went and saved actor William Levy and Cheryl, Green Bay Packer Donald Driver and Peta, and classical singer Katherine Jenkins and Mark.

But no mention of perfect-scoring couple Maria and Derek. Odd - or just a desperate ploy for tension.

Tuesday’s show also provided some memorable moments, including a performance by former contestant Gavin DeGraw and a cameo by Paula Abdul in the audience.

It also featured the moving story of dancer Steelo Vazquez. He suffered a brain aneurysm and the show was the first time he’s performed in public since.

The show finally saved Maria and Derek, then Monday’s lowest-scoring couple, actress Melissa Gilbert and Maks.

So it was Disney Star Roshon Fegan and Chelsie in the dance duel against actor Jaleel White and Kym. This meant these two couples are definitely lacking in viewer votes. Lucky for Roshon, this is the last scheduled dance duel of the season.

As for the dance duel, Jaleel and Kym did a smooth dance, but Roshon and Chelsie clearly out-choreographed them, and nailed every move.

Unsurprisingly, the judges chose to save Roshon. Jaleel was going home, after a strong start to his time on the season.

Roshon tweeted, “Thank you amazing fans for voting for me. Let's keep it going and step it up even more this week. We on a roll y'all.”

After elimination, Jaleel did the traditional “Dancing with the Stars” castoff walk of shame, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, before flying to New York for “Good Morning America.”

He tweeted, “Just left Jimmy Kimmel. Elimination has never gone down so smoothly. Love my partner @kym_johnson. Thank u.”

Next week is what the show calls its “Trio Challenge,” featuring two dances, including a Latin dance. The next competition airs Monday night on ABC15.
