PHOENIX - The newest season of “Dancing with the Stars” kicks off on Monday with a whole new cast of celebrity dancers.
ABC15's Kirk Yuhnke and Amy Murphy got the inside scoop from two of the contestants getting ready for Season 16 in a live interview from Los Angeles.
Welter weight boxing champ Victor Ortiz joined Lisa Vanderpump from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” during ABC15 Mornings on Friday.
They both talked about whether they felt up to the challenge of the grueling schedule and dances.
Ortiz said he thought he may already have some of the skills required for dancing.
“I am light on my feet due to boxing,” Ortiz said.
Vanderpump talked about the challenge.
“I thought it looked challenging but I didn’t know how challenging,” she said.
Some other cast members include, comedian Andy Dick, former skater Dorothy Hamill, and singer Wynona Judd.
This season of “Dancing with the Stars” premiers Monday at 7 p.m. on ABC15.
