CHARLOTTE, NC - When it comes to politics versus sports this week, it looks like the latter prevails among Americans.

According to Neilsen ratings, Wednesday night’s NFL season opener featuring the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants garnered higher ratings among the 18 to 49-year-olds than former President Bill Clinton’s fiery speech at the Democratic National Convention.

And during last week’s Republican National Convention, TLC’s odd yet popular TV show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” topped coverage of the RNC in the same demographic.

We want to know: Why do you think TLC’s show and football had better ratings? Do you think our minds for president are already made up, or are we just fed up with these conventions?
