Okay, that was easy, but did you know Saint Patrick was a patron saint of Ireland? History.com says St. Patrick's Day has been a religous holiday for more than 1,000 years. Courtesy: Jeffrey Coolidge

Unless you have Guinness running through your veins, Saint Patrick's Day happens but once a year. If you are unsure of your plans for Sunday, Susie Timm, food blogger and creator of Girl Meets Fork , has three picks.
"Kelly's at Southbridge is a great hipster bar in Old Town Scottsdale. It's a place to see and be seen," said Timm.
The well flows with gusto from the bar at Kelly's, with Irish car bombs, black and tans and of course, green beer.
"Number two on my list is a brand new eatery at Cactus and Tatum called the Salty Sow ," said Timm.
The Salty Sow bills itself as a head to tail restaurant, meaning much of the pig is used in it's selection of pork dishes.
"They are paying homage to the incredible edible pig!" said Timm.
The 'Sow will be open all day on Sunday with $2 Arizona craft beers.
The third item on Timm's list is an unlikely one - Brat Haus in Old Town Scottsdale
"They're calling themselves O' Braut Haus for Saint Patrick's Day," said Timm. "And for twenty dollars, you get Das Boot, which is essentially a giant boot filled with 32 ounces of beer with a bratwurst and fries."
Leave it to the Irish to throw a party, but the Scottish invented the steam engine. If you like model trains you'll love the Arizona Big Train Operator's Spring Open House.
On Saturday and Sunday, you can drive from home to home as the model railroaders show off the best garden railroad sets in the Valley.
For model trains, these are really big and often chug through rows of flowers, miniature buildings and homemade landscapes.
The tour is free, but your generous donations will support the massive model train layout at Cardon Children's Hospital which keeps the children in good spirits.
Check out the map of locations for the open house on azbigtrains.org.
